Ty studied with drumming legend, Animal, from the Muppets, but he regularly channels John Bonham.

Ty Barnes started playing the drums at the age of 8 and got his first set when he turned 11. Ty attended Ramona High School in Riverside where he toured with the jazz band to Reno, Las Vegas, and Sacramento. Ty is also a proud 1st year alumni of the Ramona “Dynasty” Marching band where he was first snare on the drum line. Ty has played in several Riverside based bands such as, Marshal Law, Morning Star, Thunder, Lipstick Tattoo, Optimum, Sunset Slim and the Strip, and Going Blind.

In addition to his Shakedown gig, Ty is currently playing in the hard rock cover band Raging Nixon. Ty's drumming skills are also featured on Shakedown Records',”Billy, Don’t Be a Hero."
